B-1 backlight not functioning. My B1 has all functions working other than the backlight (no EOL indicator flashing). What I have noticed is that when the crown is depressed the seconds hand stops at it should and then restarts and makes up the time also as it should. i have a B-1 case # A68362 (owned since 2001) and got it regularly serviced by Breitling (partial/complete/overhauls/etc.). last i had the battery changed was in 2019, the backlight still works (although dim), but i just noticed an issue where after setting my digital time, as well as the hands correctly .. the analog timekeeping loses sync .

I've owned my B-1 since 2004 and I treasure this watch. That said something is amiss and it's not a battery problem. After some advice any one had a b1 where the back light just stopped working. I've had no 2 seconds jumps or battery indicator show. Is it high chance the battery is coming to the end of its life? HOLD the top button. The word "BAT" stays on the screen for a while and then BOTH screens go completely blank and the watch will then be in a type of quiescent "sleep mode". The screens will be blank and the hands still. To "wake" the watch up again, push the crown back in again.
