I have a 9 million serial number 16550 that's in otherwise excellent condition with the exception of the disappearing bezel numbers. I have a 2003 white dial stainless daytona, the watch is mint but the bezel black letters seem to be fading. What options do I have? Will Rolex repaint? if yes any idea of cost? how much is a replacement?
Along with servicing the movement, the watch maker did a repaint, but because the bezel has some nicks, I noticed a few places the black paint got in and looked a bit rushed overall. He was repainting it as a favor to me, so I didn’t want to complain about the work.
So i found the article in the topic explaining how to redo the paint and did it myself, costed me around 10 bucks for materials (a toothbrush, q-tips, wodden toothpics, nail varnish remover and enamel paint from a model shop, the paint was under 4 bucks)
