Based on the ETA Thermoline 988.352, the B75 was a thermo-compensated high accuracy quartz movement that was capable of keeping time to +/- 10 seconds a year.

I've tried to compile an accurate and complete list of all the movements that Breitling uses and their base movements. Since Breitling purchased Kelek in 1997, which was renamed to Breitling Chronometrie in 2002, the quality of their movements have improved immensely. It does delineate the various ETA movements used by various Breitling watch models and years. However, the accuracy specs are all the same, the compensation techniques are all digital count based, and all are called "Super Quartz" by Brietling. The quote for a new B75 movement, a new caseback and new hands is USD700. They say it will take 2 months and they won’t let me keep the original movement and caseback (i.e. it is an exchange). I’m inclined to just keep replacing the battery until the watch stops working, then replace the movement.

Does anyone have any experience upgrading their movement while undergoing service with Breitling? I miss the backlight function and would love to upgrade to the improved B79 if it were possible. Has anyone been through this or if anyone has any knowledge I would really appreciate it. Learn about the evolution of the Breitling Aerospace, a pilot's watch launched in 1985 and updated several times. Find out how to distinguish different models, dial colours, bracelets and movements based on the case back and dial inscriptions. I really love the Breitling B75 quartz movement, also known as the (I think.) ETA Thermoline 988. Maybe there’s a newer version of it now, but B75 is the version in my Aerospace.

For reasons that are unclear, Breitling specifies its SuperQuartz movements to 15 seconds per year, even though we have no evidence that they differ from the ETA Thermoline models which are specified to 10 seconds per year.Caliber: Breitling 75: Movement Type: Superquartz: Base Movement: ETA Thermoline 988.352: Battery/Life: 399/3-4 Years: Complications: Perpetual Calendar, Chronograph .A complete guide to Breitling calibers. The Air-King 14000 has an in-house (developed and manufactured by Rolex) caliber 3000 automatic, self-winding movement. The specs list it as having a 42-hour power reserve, but due to the age, most unserviced movements will have less than that. It is not COSC certified. I noticed an accuracy of -7 seconds per day.Rolex Air King. Filter (0) Certified. Used. New/unworn. Includes Buyer Protection. European Union. North and South America.
