I am aware that the bezel on an Explorer II can be replaced; however I had a few questions. The bezel does fit over the crystal retaining ring so isn’t pressed directly into the case as I wrote earlier. In fact I’ve now read that a 5 digit exp II can be converted into having a rotating GMT Master bezel as they have the same case. I gave a breakdown of prices straight from RSC Dallas. The 16570 minimum service cost is 0 now with or without polishing. Parts prices are there if you need a crystal, crown and bezel. There is also an additional charge of for return shipping.
The watch ran well, but needed service and, when I serviced it through my local watchmaker, I had an OEM Rolex crystal installed. I also got rid of the aftermarket bracelet and just put a plain, "non-branded" bracelet on it. Has anyone replaced the bezel on a 16570 Explorer II lately?
