It won't fit itself and needs Breitling attention. The inability to screw in the crown is probably related, worst case the heavy winding has caused a bend in the crow stem and threads are no longer aligned.

Now, warranty is usually 2 years, so I’m not sure where they got 3 years. I am waiting on a reply from her since 4 is an incredibly large amount of money to fix a broken crown stem. If its costing that much to fix whatever it is sounds like it should be under warranty, unless they smashed the watch against some pavement or something. The usual issue is stripped threads - more of an issue with the Aeromarine range because the crown tube is integral to the middle case so more costly to address if it's not under warranty. The fundamental problem (and likely the reason why titanium watches disappeared from Breitling's range) is that Breitling used the cheaper, and less resilient, Grade 2 Ti rather than Grade 5 Ti that is used by some other manufacturers. It costs more but is much more resilient. Gr2 is not necessarily cheaper than Gr5. These are engaged / disengaged via the crown stem - wheels / cogs that the crown stem passes through and a spring loaded clutch that engages with a cog. Marty (onewatchnut) is far more qualified than I am to diagnose specifically what the problem is, but my guess is that the clutch is no longer properly seated and is causing it to jam. To get an update of the power reserve you turn the crown to diplay 'battery' and then press the top pusher to update the percentage of battery remaining. I have dive watches both type, some winding the movement in this case, some have a system in the crown which disconnect from the movement when I push and screw in the crown.
